How can sound be used as a modality for healing?

Pain and trauma can be held in any layer of our body. It might manifest as physical discomfort, tension, or illness. It could manifest mentally through excessive worry, anxiety, or insomnia. It could manifest emotionally through unstable moods or depression and even spiritually through a deep, insatiable longing or existential angst. Oftentimes we don’t, and might not ever, know the cause of our symptoms, much less how to begin to entangle them from our natural ability to live life fully and wholly. As it is, the nature of sound, as energy, as vibration, as a waveform, is able to move through space and time; able to resound against and entrain within patterns we seek to let go of those we seek to enhance, both consciously and unconsciously. It can move through almost any medium, including muscles, bones, organs, thoughts, memories, emotions, etc. to soften and/or eventually dislodge pain and trauma from our systems. In addition, sound gives our already-overworked systems the ability to simply pause, receive and listen; to reset themselves back to their natural states of harmony and balance.

Why alchemy crystal singing bowls?

Alchemy crystal singing bowls are made with pure quartz crystal and various precious and semi-precious gemstones, minerals and metals and are tuned to notes that target specific chakras, or energy centers. The properties and vibrations of specific crystals, as well as the combinations of crystals and tunings, allow for a more intentional, more directional experience within the physical or energy body, creating a matrix by which we can better heal, grow and transform.

What’s the difference between listening to the sound of the singing bowls versus playing them yourself?

Both have their advantages. Listening to the bowls, whether live or in a recording, allows you to fully release and immerse yourself into the sound’s nourishing and nurturing vibrations as they move around and through you. Playing the bowls directly allows you to experience a similar effect, yet your proximity, your agency and your intentionality further amplify and magnify the power, potency and resonance of the bowls as well as your relationship to your own healing, growth and transformation.

Why are the bowls so expensive?

Each bowl is, for the most part, unique- in its tonality and crystal make-up. Some of the crystals are quite common (why quartz bowls are relatively less expensive) while some are quite rare or precious. They are exquisitely created and crafted to produce a beautiful, harmonic feel, aesthetically, sonically and energetically. Alchemy crystal singing bowls are truly a vehicle for transformation and evolution. Wherever you are in your journey, they help align you more fully to your path as well as help you navigate more gracefully along it, like a trusted companion.

Anybody can learn to play singing bowls! If you can hold a pen, you can play! They require nothing more than your attention and your willingness to receive what they have to offer.
