Although, as the song states, this might be ‘the most wonderful time of the year’, full of magic and excitement, it can also be one of the most stress-inducing. From holiday shopping through delayed flights to extended family visits, our nervous systems get an extra helping of stress, on top of the already overfilled plate of daily stressors and triggers. We might begin to feel, not only frustrated or unsettled, but more severe symptoms of anxiety, insomnia or depression.
And while we can’t necessarily eliminate all of our stressors, we can do a few things to help nurture our nervous systems so we’re better able to meet those stressors with our full capability.
Please join me for a special virtual workshop, Wednesday, December 22nd at 6:30pm ET, where we’ll begin to unwind ourselves from the stress held within the body and replace it with a more neutral, if not nourishing, charge of feeling supported and grounded within ourselves.
This 90-minute practice will begin with some simple yoga postures to help ground our nervous systems that help support, relax and open the body. It will then be followed by meditation to guide us towards a more restful, healing brain wave state; and then we’ll finish with a sound bath where we may soak in the gentle currents of not only sound, but of our own systems moving fluidly and processing stress with ease.
Take care of yourself so you can better take care of those you love. A beautiful gift for all.
Class will be held via Zoom. Please register here to receive the link.
